The wind farm is located approximately 5 km east of Liden in Sundsvall municipality. The wind turbines are situated 370-405 meters above sea level, with the river Indalsälven in the southwest. The project was started in 2009 by Svenska Vindbolaget AB. The permit application was submitted in 2011. In 2011, Svenska Vindbolaget was purchased by Eolus Vind AB. Permit according to environmental law gained legal force from 2013-10-25.
The wind farm is covered by a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Google, meaning that Google will buy all electricity produced in the wind farm over a ten-year period. When construction is completed in the summer of 2018 the wind farm will be handed over to the end customer Munich Re.
