At the end of 2014, the amount of installed capacity in Norway was 819 MW. Eolus established business operations in Norway in 2012 as a natural consequence of the joint markets for electricity and electricity certificates that were launched at the end of 2011. In Norway, as in other markets, Eolus can acquire ongoing projects as well as develop new, proprietary projects. The Norwegian project portfolio comprises a potential capacity of some 600 MW, of which the largest project is Øyfjellet, outside Mosjöen. Øyfjellet comprises 330 MW distributed between 80-110 wind turbines, depending on the type of turbine, and is Eolus’s largest onshore project to date.
