Eolus established business operations in the Estonian market in 2007, the first market outside Sweden. At the end of 2014, the amount of installed capacity in the country was 303 MW. On the island of Saaremaa, Eolus owns the land used to develop wind power (through subsidiaries), in contrast to the customary leasehold system. On this and other properties, it is possible to establish wind power with a total capacity of about 150 MW. At the end of the 2014/2015 fiscal year, the Eolus Group had two proprietary wind power facilities in Estonia with a total capacity of 1.6 MW.
