Eolus Vind AB – your wind power partner

Eolus Vind AB is one of the leading actors in planning, projecting and establishing wind power plants in Sweden.  Eolus was founded in 1990 with the purpose to own and operate wind turbines. Initiator was Bengt Simmingsköld, who is still working in the company. He has worked with wind power projects since the late 70’s.

The first project was two Vestas 225 kW wind turbines on the island Öland, that Eolus built in 1991. Since the start Eolus Vind AB has established more than 330 wind turbines. Eolus has also been active in projects in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Poland.

During the years Eolus have sold off most of the wind turbines established by the company.

Today Eolus operates as:

• Developer of wind power projects
• Owner of wind turbines
• Consultants in developing wind power projects, operating wind farms, financing and administration.
   

Eolus currently owns 35 wind turbines. The annual production is estimated at 107 GW= 107,000,000 kWh, equivalent to supplying electricity to households for 53,500 people. Two of the turbines are located in Estonia and the rest in Sweden.

Part of the company´s sucess has it´s basis in the genuine environmental responsibility which characterizes our employees.  Our respect for both nature and man has resulted in great trust which we are eager to maintain. A responsibility embracing everything from land acquisition, project development, processes surrounding building permits and environment; to support and service after launch.

Facts and figures

Eolus Vind AB is listed at the unofficial market place NASDAQ OMX First North in Stockholm. Eolus has about 3 100 shareholders (February 2012). For the 3 year period 2009/2010-2011/2012 Eolus has the goal of establishing at least 200 wind turbines with an effect of approx. 400 MW.
